Women must stand together by our German reporter, Hans Stan Together
(TPT) – KUALA LUMPUR: Women need to stand united to improve their lives and to strengthen women empowerment, said Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister when she met BN women lawmakers last night. Rosmah mentioned that men must have the right attitude and not put the women folk down, and urged the women to have the guts and gung-ho to climb up the social as well as the corporate ladder.
Listening in, MP for Rumput Mati, Ngo Pan Tee mentioned that this not an easy matter to overcome. She mentioned that the male attitude has to be changed first. Touching on her personal experience, she mentioned that women MPs are given a difficult time by their male counterparts. She mentioned that once she was in the Parliament library, and was using the rolling library ladder to reach for a book in the upper shelves, one of the male MPs immediately came and stood below the ladder and offered his help. To make matter worst, the male MP kept asking Ngo Pan Tee, “boleh tengok” as if he was so concern in helping her find the book, but she knew he had double meaning in his words.
Later our reporter Hans Stan spoke to some male MPs to gather their views – MP for Bukit Ayam Bogel, Tan Nam Pak defended his male counterparts stating that all these were started by the female MPs. They would wear short-tiny skirts and tight blouses and as such this gave the male MPs a hard time (no pun intended). Obviously if the female MPs dresses like that, our male MPs would be attracted to them like moths to light. You cunt blame the male MPs, you should ask them to stop wearing such provocatively first.
